International Master Week “Educating for Global Competence” is a great opportunity for students to improve their knowledge and meet with new interesting people. This year IMW took place at University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. Students from KNEU English-Taught Master program “Project Management and Consulting” (Anna Zinichenko, Galyna Rozsokha,Liz Vovchenko and Dmitriy Zubchenko) under supervision of professor Liudmyla Batenko with students from Germany, Poland, Russia, Austria were participants of this program. IMW contents streams “Managing International Projects” and “Emerging Markets and Crises”. Our students were a part of the first stream and developed their projects based on the information of IT company “Future processing”. Student visited this Polish software company, which now implements agile management and SCRUM, pays a lot attention on organizational culture. That’s why it has cool game rooms, gym, spa and a lot of open space. During 3 days students in international teams (contain students from different countries) with their tutors developed their projects. Also students had interesting excursion to the “Tyskie” brewery, team building training and bowling. At the end of the week all teams presented their projects. Participation in this program was not only for knowledge and skills development, but for communications with other students, finding new friends, having some fun. If you want to have a real experience in developing international projects, meet new interesting people and learn a lot, this program is great opportunity for you.
