 The Faculty of Economics and Management is one of the leading and oldest faculty of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University. Graduates of the faculty acquire professional competencies in economics and management with an awareness of the economic way of thinking and its application to solve professional problems, are able to justify management decisions and organize their implementation, and are capable of self-development and learning throughout their professional lives. Due to the introduction of the latest educational and communication technologies in the process of education at the faculty, business and role-playing games, discussion of practical situations in mini-groups, implementation of educational and research projects, including international ones, are widely used. Students have the opportunity to master modern applied software products that are common at domestic enterprises, and also acquire practical skills in developing and making management decisions based on business simulations. The faculty traditionally hosts meetings of discussion clubs and English-language colloquiums, trainings and master classes for business representatives. Students undergo internships at the best enterprises of Ukraine, in state administration bodies and local self-government bodies, and graduates successfully build a professional career not only at domestic enterprises, but also in leading foreign companies and in the field of public administration. Faculty historyFrom the day of its official establishment as a faculty on March 1, 1945, the Planning Faculty of the Kyiv Financial and Economic Institute trained specialists in industrial economics and agricultural economics. Later, the second specialty became the basis for the creation of the Faculty of Agricultural Economics, and for a long time the faculty, which began to be called the Planning and Economic Faculty, trained personnel in the specialties of industrial planning and national economic planning.
