Analysis and Forecast of the Company’s Activity

Recommended for students of the second (master’s) level of higher education

Course Objective: The course aims to develop competencies in analyzing and forecasting company activities based on structured data processing in Business Intelligence (BI) software, specifically MS Power Pivot, MS Power BI, and Diamond FMS.

Interdisciplinary Connections: The training course ‘Analysis and Forecast of the Company’s Activity’ is based on the synthesis of knowledge, skills, and competencies obtained in other disciplines, including commercial activity management, business administration, entrepreneurship, sociology, and informatics.

Understanding the principles of forming an enterprise’s information base to identify key success factors, build financial models, and forecast development trends through enhanced cognitive analysis and automation of analytical and management processes.

Development of a financial model of the company based on internal management reporting using MS Power Pivot and Diamond FMS.

Analysis of financial and non-financial information to identify key business performance factors using MS Power Pivot and Diamond FMS.

Course Content:

1.     Essence and principles of business forecasting.

2.     General characteristics of Business Intelligence methodology.

3.     Types of Business Intelligence software.

4.     Data configuration in BI-class software.

5.     Development of a financial business model based on a structured database.

6.     Company performance analysis and identification of key success factors.

7.     Building a financial business model.

8.     Forecasting the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

9.     Generating reports using Diamond FMS.
