COURSE ANNOTATION

 “Entrepreneurship

Mandatory for the first (bachelor's) level of higher educationof the Educational and Professional Program "Marketing"

1. The Objective of Studying the Discipline.

The purpose of the discipline is to form a system of knowledge about the essence of entrepreneurship as a special type of activity, a certain style and type of behaviour that determines the business culture of the enterprise, the modern form of management of industrial and commercial structures in a market economy; acquisition of practical skills of complex perception and solution of problems arising in the activities of business structures to create a favourable business environment and improve the efficiency of production and economic systems.

Interdisciplinary connections:  prerequisites and post-requisites. The interdisciplinary connections of the discipline “Entrepreneurship” are determined by the peculiarities of training of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the Educational and Professional Program "Marketing" of the specialty 075 “Marketing”. The discipline integrates a large number of basic concepts and techniques of general theoretical disciplines, is based on the theoretical foundation of entrepreneurship and methodological provisions of related economic disciplines.

Prerequisites: the discipline is based on the knowledge and competences acquired by the higher education student in the course of studying the following disciplines: ‘Philosophy’, “Applied Informatics”, “Macroeconomics”, “Microeconomics”.

Post-requisites: as a result of studying the discipline, the necessary competence base will be formed for mastering such disciplines as Statistics, Management, Marketing, International Economics, Finance, Human Resources Management, Logistics, Service Management, Marketing Pricing and others. The knowledge of the discipline ‘Entrepreneurship’ can be used when writing a qualifying bachelor thesis.
