SUMMARY OF THE ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE

" Business culture "​​

Recommended for the  first year (bachelor's) students higher education level

The purpose of the academic discipline is to form a system of knowledge and practical skills in professional and business culture and ethics, to improve and develop the skills of effective self-organization and business interaction in entrepreneurial activity. The discipline "Business Culture" is focused on forming an understanding of the importance of the cultural component of human communications in the business sphere of modern business. Culture, exploring, first of all, the patterns of interpersonal relationships of people as people, that is, their humanistic potential, explains the essence and structure of the human value system. Understanding and analysing the ethical component of modern business relations is a condition for high-quality analytics of communications in the business environment, a guarantee of the productive activity of a professional in any field of entrepreneurial activity, and a necessary condition for maintaining a positive psychological climate at the enterprise and in the environment of all business contacts of the enterprise. Thus, knowledge about the features of cultural relations contributes to a more complete and qualitative understanding of professional problems in the sphere of modern business.

The interdisciplinary connections of the discipline "Business Culture" are determined by the specifics of bachelor's training and are based on the theoretical foundation of entrepreneurship and methodological provisions of related economic disciplines, in particular, business economics, entrepreneurship, management, marketing, psychology and pedagogy of social responsibility of business, labour economics and social and labour relations.
