ABSTRACT OF THE DISCIPLINE

«The basics of entrepreneurial activity and business»

Recommended for applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education

in the program “Economic and Business Education”

1. The purpose of mastering the discipline.

The purpose of the discipline is to form a system of knowledge about the essence of entrepreneurship as a special type of activity, a certain style and type of behaviour that determines the business culture of the enterprise, the modern form of management of industrial and commercial structures in a market economy; acquisition of practical skills of complex perception and solution of problems arising in the activities of business structures to create a favourable business environment and increase the efficiency of production and economic systems.

The interdisciplinary connections of the discipline “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business”are determined by the peculiarities of training applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in the EPP “Economic and Business Education”, Programme Subject Area 015 “Vocational Education (Economics)”. “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business” as an academic discipline integrates a large number of basic concepts and techniques of general theoretical and special academic disciplines.

Prerequisites: the discipline is based on the knowledge and competencies acquired by the student in the course of studying the disciplines: “Philosophy”, “Applied Informatics”, “Macroeconomics”, “Microeconomics”, “Finance”, “Accounting”, “Management”, ‘Marketing’, “Human Resources Management”.

Post-requisites: As a result of studying the discipline, the necessary competence base will be formed for mastering such disciplines as “International Economics”, “Training course "Development of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship"” and others. The knowledge of the discipline “Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Business” can be used when writing a bachelor's thesis.
