Course Purpose: The overall aim of this course is to enable students to acquire an integrated view on shaping and optimising cost and finding rationale for economic decisions.

Course Objectives:

-           to give knowledge of cost structure,  provide understanding on framing and maintaining   a cost management system;

-           develop the ability to to identify factors that determine costs, and estimate  their impact on outcomes;

-           to acquaint students with the methodological background for operation system optimisation based on cost criteria.

Learning outcomes

Having completed the course the student will be able to:

-           to recognize enterprise expenditures  and their drivers, to understand how to control and change them;  

-             identify cost drivers and estimate their value by  types, places and careers, analyze the impact of  a structure and dynamics of expenses on profit.
