Learning Objectives

The purpose of scientific discipline "Industry Analysis" is organizing, expanding and deepening theoretical knowledge on economic characteristics and patterns of sectors’ development, receiving practical skills using analytical methods for the development of management decisions at the company.

The objectives of the scientific discipline are:

• mastering knowledge about principles and laws of functioning of industrial markets;

• developing skills of analytical work to assess the competitive behavior of firms in the industry market;

• deepen skills in assessing possible consequences of decisions for specific industrial markets and for the economy as a whole.

Learning Outcomes

After studying the discipline the student should be able to: identify and analyze key indicators of industry market; identify patterns of interaction between the market and its participants; predict the consequences of decisions made by individual actors of industry market; assess the firms’ behavior strategy in the industry market; formulate practical recommendations on the regulation of industrial markets.
