1999 – Graduated with honours from the Faculty of Investigation and Criminalistics at the Luhansk Institute of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, specialising in Law. Served in the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine until 2006.
2004 – Graduated from the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning at Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, specialising in Accounting and Auditing.
2009 – Defended a PhD thesis on "Assessment of the Innovation Activity Potential of Machine-Building Enterprises", specialising in 08.00.04 – Economics and Business Management (by types of economic activity).
2012 – Awarded the academic title of Associate Professor
