Course“PROJECT MANAGEMENT”

Education degree:Master

Course objectives: Applied exploration of project management instruments used for effectively planning and executing projects to achieve project goals and satisfy project stakeholders’ expectations requirements. 

Tasks:to examine the theory, well-known international standards and tool-box of project management; to apply different approaches and instruments to specific project types, to learn how to overcome the difficulties, risks, and uncertainty in decision making and create a solid platform for future challenges in project management.

Learning outcomes:

After successfully completing this course, the student will be able to:

-         Synthesize project management theory and practice to assess their role in company competitiveness;

-         Examine project goals, develop a Project Charter and other initiating documents, present and defend project execution strategy to project stakeholders by using effective presentation skills;

-         Prepare an integrated project management plan that is balanced in terms of project constraints using relevant tools;

-         Develop the most adequate project organizational structure and propose motivational approaches for the project team on the basis of specified project features; 

-         Estimate and interpret a project status report, discover the causes of problems identified, and propose necessary solutions.
